OUR MISSION

At Flying Tails, we believe no animal should face jeopardy due to geographical barriers. Founded by dedicated aviator Ken Wayne, our network of passionate rescue pilots connects high-risk animals in danger with safety via high-speed aircraft. By replacing stressful, multi-day ground transit with swift and compassionate flight pathways, we instantly bridge the gap between overcrowded shelters and safe foster havens.

Featured Rescue: Mango's Journey

Faced with immediate euthanasia due to severe shelter overcrowding in rural Alabama, Mango’s clock was ticking down. Driving him north would mean a grueling, high-stress 18-hour road journey—a trip his weak immune system simply couldn’t withstand.

Flying Tails pilots took action. Within 4 hours, Mango was cruising stress-free at 9,000 feet, safely bypassing land hazards to reach his life-saving specialized sanctuary in New York. This fast aviation rescue made the ultimate difference between life and death.
